An appraisal of the Pentecostal eco-theology and environmental consciousness among youths in Parklands Baptist Church, Kenya

The younger generation in different countries have been said to be growing into environmental consciousness. Are youths the Kenyan religious landscape aware of issues? Is consciousness evident among Pentecostal youths? On one hand, based on anthropocentric perspective promotes view that only human beings and their interests are considered. other grounded eco-centric viewpoint insists natures’ value cannot reduced what well-being. researchers adopted a descriptive design for study. tools data collection included participant observation literature review. Contribution: This article critically examines Parklands Baptist Church (PBC) Kenya vision 2040 strategy, sermons congregational programmes relation stewardship. It considers how through these, PBC mobilised practical ways towards creation care grow an awareness environment. further points which communities such as churches could important instruments enabling conviction nudge them conscious environment divine mandate. For analysis, this tenets credible eco-theology at its applicability.
